The Moon that Embraces the Sun

Episodes 1-8 and 15-18 were so good, but Episodes 9-14 where so wasted. They dragged out the amnesia for a bit too long, and I was disappointed that the King never went head-over-heels in love with Wol. It would’ve been really sweet if he had done so, but it was Yang-myung who faced the girl head on. I know there was some attraction but it never really got anywhere, which is so disappointing. If they really fell in love all over again, and declared it to each other, the stakes would’ve been so much higher and it would’ve proven how far they’d go to be honestly in love with each other. But the story failed to explore those areas, and merely relied on the teenage love story, and nothing else. I’m also not buying the chemistry between Kim Soo Hyun and Han Ga In. In fact, I feel that she has more chemistry with Jung Il Woo -__-; But now that we’re heading towards the finale, and the plot has gotten back on track, with secrets now exposed, I hope I’ll be able to sincerely cheer for Hwon and Yeon Woo to be together.
Dream High 2

I forgave the sloppiness of the first 4 episodes because Season 1 also got off a rough start, but eventually improved with every episode. But with this one… It got worse by the episode. The set-up had so much potential and reasonable conflicts, but as time progressed, everything started to fall apart until they finally threw the plot out the window. It became just another lame love-square that doesn’t even make sense. I also think Jinwoon is the most talented out of the entire cast, and his character was pretty well-written. It all disappeared and went to waste when the story began to focus on JB and Haesung’s unreasonable story line instead. My adorable, rebellious rocker gave up his strong beliefs against being an idol when he began to acknowledge himself as a super idol, and even expanding his fame to photoshoots.. just to impress a girl(that he previously criticized for wanting to become an idol)? I’M LOST. I’m not even going to bother criticizing the other characters, it’ll take me an entire day to get my feelings out. It’s just weird how I still find myself continuously watching this joke week after week. I have no idea why I’m still entertained.
Shut Up! Flower Boy Band

This show is the complete opposite of Dream High 2. There’s meaning to everything, and it’s the type that could totally gripe at your heart. The bromance is the most powerful thing in this story, and the only reason I continue watching it. The conflicts that exist between the boys are quite believable and constantly keeps you in your toes, hoping and praying that the friendship doesn’t fall apart. I’m so invested with their bromance, that I’m swiftly slipping away from the actual romance. I feel terrible for saying this, but the three main girls are the reason why I feel so stressed out with everything. Their existence screws with the bromance, and it’s making me upset. I don’t see the chemistry between Sungjoon and Jo Boa; the Hyunsoo-Yerim-Hajin love triangle will rip the brotherhood apart; and who knows, maybe Do-il might get into another fight with Sungjoon for mistreating the girl he likes. Sigh.
Operation Proposal

Absolutely cute in so many areas, but also very stressful. 50% of the time, I’m yelling at Baek-ho to confess to the girl already, wanting to knock him over the head. 40% of the time, I’m drowning from the cuteness all around. And the other 10%, I’m already predicting Baek-ho’s next failure that strains his relationship with Yi-seul.
And now that episode 10 has brought a lot of progress to the plot, we finally get to explore what exactly went wrong in the relationship between Baek-ho and Yiseul and why they just can’t work out. I’m curious. We finally learn that a confession to a girl doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll choose to marry you in the future. I’m pretty glad that there’s more to it than just declaring how much you love someone. And who knew that adding a dash of a romance to a strong, childhood friendship of fifteen years could eventually strain your whole, entire relationship? Baek-ho, you better get it right, or all of those precious time you’ve spent with her would be put to waste. Don’t tell me you’ve time-traveled countless times just to lose both love and friendship.

I love how the two lead actresses in The Moon That Embraces the Sun (Han Ga In and Kim Yoo Jung) were both spotted at the Big Bang concert. Forever following the kings.
